Greetings Delegates! Hansraj College proudly presents its Model United Nations Conference scheduled to be held on 11th & 12th April 2026. This conference aims to provide a platform for young minds to engage in meaningful deliberations, sharpen their diplomacy, and develop solutions to some of the most pressing global issues. This year, we bring to you a diverse set of online & offline committees with stimulating agendas: 1). United Nations General Assembly - Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL): Addressing the Persistence of Neo-Colonial Practices in International Security, with Emphasis on the Violation of State Sovereignty, Military Interventions, and Power Asymmetries in the Global Order. 2). United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW): Addressing the Misuse of Artificial Intelligence Against Women, with Special Emphasis on Deepfake Images and Videos, and Strengthening Global Norms for the Prevention of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence. 3). All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM): Assessing educational reforms, with emphasis on curriculum revision, historical narratives and their role in shaping ideological discourse. 4). United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC): Balancing Drug Control and Public Health Responses in Addressing the Global Illicit Drug Crisis. 5). International Press (IP): Photography, Journalism and Caricaturism 6). World Health Organisation (WHO) - Online Committee: Strengthening Global Preparedness and Equitable Response to Emerging and Re-Emerging Viral Threats. 7). United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) - Online Committee: Examining the impact of surveillance technologies on privacy rights, with special emphasis on the use of facial recognition systems and mass digital monitoring in conflict zones and occupied territories.
